April Club Meeting

Happy Spring, eager fly fishers!  We will be meeting this Thursday, so set your calendars to join us.  We will be reviewing our recent trip to Stillwaters Ranch in Llano County, where we hosted a group of Wounded Warriors for a beautiful day of fishing—both groups were encouraged during our time together.  Our guest speaker will be one of our own, Mark Cole, a physical therapist by day and a personal trainer by night.  He will be discussing health and fitness issues surrounding fly fishing, including traveling risks such as back and neck pain, shoulder problems, simple suggestions for fitness, and some specific fitness suggestions for fly fishing and fly tying (yes, fly tying has its risks!).  He will be emphasizing self-help approaches that are non-medicine, non-surgical and non-guru.  Come to learn, to ask questions, and to enjoy the group.

The Economy of Wraps in Fly Tying
